Description

It has been known as a saying that Split is the center of the world, for a reason. If emperor Diocletian chose Split as his residence to govern the Roman Empire, then Split occupied a significant place in the history of the Roman Empire and at that time was the center of the world.
Split is a peninsula, surrounded by the sea on three sides and protected on the north side by the mountains Mosor and Kozjak and on the western side by the hill Mosor, which are the lungs of the city of Split.
Across the length of the whole city of Split, beaches are spread so split can be said to be one big beach with the oldest preserved building in the world, Diocletian's Palace, which is still inhabited, and you can see such scenes, besides movies, only in Split. The city with a soul, special energy, phlegmatic lifestyle, with the possibilities that the city provides for life make Split special and these are the moments in which the residents of Split feel like they're living in their own little world.
There is also a special entrance to Split by sea through the Split gate, the area between the islands of Brač and Šolta, and the entrance and city views are spectacular.

Marjan Hill is a place that anyone would like to feel and spend time on because just the view itself attracts you. Marjan is a forest park that we use for swimming, walking, running, cycling and for meditating.
You can climb Marjan directly from the famous Split waterfront and with several positions it offers a view of the whole city and islands. Also on Marjan there are various architectures, some unbelievable to the eyes, especially one overlooked from Kašuni beach. All in all, Marjan is a place rarely seen in cities.
Split is unique in the world in Diocletian's cellars, which are located below the palace, and above the basement is the city, houses and streets, and for 1500 years a normal life takes place. Everyday life takes place through the largest basement, which stretches from the waterfront to the center of the palace, and part of the basement can be visited, and part of the basement is still unexplored today.

An interesting story of the city of Split is the football club Hajduk, which is more of a religion than a football club, and so much love and affection for Hajduk is so amazing that it borders on with insanity which hasn't given in for decades and it is carried over from generation to generation and there is no end to it Along with the Cathedral of St. Duje and the Marjan Hill, Hajduk is the most important thing to the residents of Split.
Another interesting story of the city of Split are the wild fans of Hajduk, the Torcida, the oldest fan group in Europe, which organized a celebration for the 100 years of Hajduk club's existence, that will hardly ever be conquered in the world, as well as their celebration the anniversary of 70 years of the fan club's founding.
All these possibilities and conditions that the city of Split has to offer have also been recognized by many well-known world organizations and various events have been held here such as the organization of electronic music Ultra Europe, which has been held in Split since 2015 and the recording of the Game of Thrones series.
