Description

The island of Brač, 45 minutes away from Split by boat, is a part of ancient history and throughout history it had its purpose. Throughout its history, Brač was mostly inhabited by Croats and was an economic center where there were numerous quarries from which stone was extracted for the construction of Diocletian's Palace. One of only a few schools of this craft in the world is on the island of Brač. There has even been undecided discussion whether White House was built from Brač's stone. Some say it was while others say it was not, both sides have reasonable arguments but who is in the right is yet to be decided.

Zlatni Rat beach on Bol, declared one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world, attracts tourists from all over the world. Small villages all around give tourists plenty of things to see and to experience. From boat tours, kayak tours, bike tours to just exploring by foot. Brač also offers the highest point in the whole Adriatic sea, the peak's name is Vidova Gora, while the mountain is called St. Vid, standing at 780 meters above sea level.
